In 2007, a solution was created in Markham for those with low to modest incomes that for the first time would change the accessibility of buying new homes. Charles Sutherland, President & CEO of Creative Home Solutions Non-Profit Organization (York Region), started his own development in Markham, making affordable home ownership a possible reality for many. This has become a story about blending an already established community and providing residents with honesty and transparency with the new home ownership concept. The program’s dynamics encourages future homeowners to go beyond living in rental properties to the world of home ownership.
